Is unprotected sex the new marriage? Thats what an Oakland teenager had to say that has the world in a buzz. He suggested that “among his friends and acquaintances, ditching the condoms for the pill, signifies taking monogamy to a new level.” I thought about it, I looked at all my relationships and well I’ve always gone by that logic as well. Once the condom comes off we are together, and she graduated to the title of wifey.

Some said it was ‘mindless hip-hop MTV” and not intelligent information, but I think its just how people think in urban America. Its not like this is the first backwards ideology we declare gospel there are plenty. We’ll have oral sex with out protection but won’t have intercourse without protection, so we’ll rather eat the disease… Yeah genius.

Now, I do believe that having unprotected sex does build a certain level of trust between partners that doesn’t come natural. Sex in general is a crap roll with your life, and a lot of men and women are gambling with their life, hoping they don’t come home with something that doesn’t go away. Officers arrested and charged Jermaine Canada, 27, with first-degree murder. A resident called 911 around 9 a.m. on Monday and reported seeing a man matching the description of the gunman in the 2600 block of W. Camelback Road, police said.

Young Women Are Bitter, Cant Embrace Womanhood

Jasmine Guy told Essence “I think our younger women have lost the ability to embrace their womanhood. There’s so much we try to do that’s against our nature, and it’s made us hard, cold, bitter and fearful.” The writer of the article said it was a great point to which “Whitley” added:

“…a lot of us are without partners, so we have to do double duty. We develop another part of ourselves to compensate for that. We haven’t been taught that those things that are innate in us-being maternal or being soft or being vulnerable-are good things. We’re taught to be strong and in that strength comes a certain dismissal of what we’re really feeling inside.”

I’m not sure where I stand on this one, on one hand I believe that women should be strong. Strong enough to support her man if needed. Yet she should still be a woman who is able to do things that are generally associated with being a woman, like cooking, cleaning, and all the things Donna Reed did.

At the same time a woman has to be strong because some men have never received home training. I can understand how a woman would develop a hard exterior shell with the way men, lie, cheat and break hearts all for the chance to stick themselves in a woman. A good looking woman can’t walk 20 steps without a man trying to bang them. I guess this is a yet another no win situation for the woman.

You’re Too Old To Still Want A Thug

Today when you’re at lunch, walking through your local office park look around the eating area. I’ll bet you’ll see a woman reading a piece of urban lit, True to the Game 3, Bad Girlz 4 Life or any other novel written by someone fresh out of jail. Woman like thugs, d-boys and men with bullet holes or stab wounds etched on there skin. I think for the hope of one day having their life resemble one of their favorite books with out the bloody ending. Yet in the age of straight legged jeans and big man scarfs is the thug still appealing or is his sex appeal starting to sag?

Style - As complicated as woman are, they are the simple at the same time. A tattoo, a wife beater and a pair of Jordans can make a woman gush with moisture. An oversized Yankee fitted hat covering the brow can automatically make a man marriage material.

Talk - Broken grammar, slang and curse words can make a woman feel like she’s living on the edge. The risk of losing it all drives her to give more. All for the love of the challenge.

But, the most important reason woman still dig the thug, is because most thugs know how to FCK. We are not talking about makin love, going downtown or whispering sweet nothing in her ear. We are talking about spankings, hair pulling, choking, and calling her dirty names during the act. Its rough, mildly painful and highly enjoyable and may happen anywhere.

Good sex can make a woman put up with loudness, drug paraphernalia, warrants, baby mama’s and putting stuff in their name. As long as the backstroke is there, the mind can not function right, so although thugs are going out of style, they still are a prominent force in dating.
