The NFL told the LA Times that it has reason to be concerned that its players may be celebrating plays by throwing up gang signs and get this … HAS HIRED EXPERTS TO EXAMINE GAME TAPES TO IDENTIFY ANY GANG GESTURE!
WOW! Can you believe that ish? It’s one of the dumbest things I ever heard in my life.
What I really want to know is who are these so called “experts?” Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Mack 10!? What in the world?
With mostly brothers in the NFL, this has more racial overtones to it than the NBA’s dress code rule. But the whole thing just seems like a waste of time to me.
My thing is why isn’t the NFL spending more time teaching them Zebras to get calls RIGHT!? We all know they got suspect whistles.
The other part of this is the NFL is overreacting to when the NBA fined Paul Pierce for allegedly throwing up a gang sign in the playoffs against the Hawks.
SOHH what do the players think!?
"Guys come from all over the country, and who knows what they're really doing?" said Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Dennis Northcutt, adding he cannot remember seeing a gang gesture in his nine NFL seasons. "People have got signs for their kids, signs for their fraternities. How do you differentiate who's really throwing up gang signs?"
That right there, is the smartest thing I ever heard an NFL player say. How can even experts differentiate between gang signs and regular signs? What we’re going to get is speculation of gang signs, when dudes are waving hello to their moms and pops … Watch. SMH Gittuff
