With gas prices higher than Method Man and Redman on 4/20 people are trying to save money whenever they can. So I compiled a list of 10 great date ideas for less than 4 gallons of gas.
Get Wet - In the summer time an afternoon date to the local/apartment swimming pool can be a fun and romantic date. Pack a nice lunch and a bottle of your favorite drink from the package store then relax by the pool.
Happy Hour - Going out to during happy hours at your favorite restaurant can save you a lot of money. Drinks are half price, food is discounted and the atmosphere is the same. So scan your local Creative Loafing or other free magazine in your town and date happier.
Mr Ice Cream Man - If any of know me you’ll know I spend a lot of my time at the ice cream stand. Taking a nice cold sundae on a walk through the city to people watch can go a long way to bringing the two of you closer.
The Sunset - Back when I was in back in NJ I used to go down to the shore, buy something to grub on and a bottle of drink sit down and watch the sunset.
Museum and Art Galleries - Take hold of her hand and take her to the museum and get up on your history. Every weekend there is some sort of new exhibit you can visit and experience a different part of history or art form.
Play a Game - Pool Halls, Bowling Alleys, Laser tag, or Go Carts challenge her to a game of skill.
Read A Book - Go to the library or bookstore and get a book. Reading it out loud to each other or in front of a fire place will stimulate your minds.
Dollar Movie - We don’t always get the chance to go to the movie theater so going to a dollar theater to catch a movie you might of missed is always good.
Plug In To The Matrix - Go to a place that offers free internet and surf the web together. Researching the answer to a “debate” the two of you had or discovering new blogs is a fun way to spend your time together.
The Park - Going to the park is always a good date, most park have swings you can swing on, paddle boats you can paddle on, and a path you can walk on. The purpose of a date is to get to know someone, and if you’re eating or watching a movie it’s sort of hard to discover the real person.
