LEXINGTON PARK, Md. -- Thanks to a Myspace profile, police in Washington County were able to nab a man suspected of stealing two exotic monkeys from a wildlife center in November.
Steven Labore, 19, of Vestaburg, is accused of stealing the monkeys from Grant Kemmerer's Wild World of Animals wildlife center in Somerset Township on Nov. 5.
According to the Observer-Reporter, police received a tip that Labore had a Myspace profile, so they checked it out. When police got to his page, they discovered that the man had listed his address on the site.
Labore was staying in Lexington Park, Md., which is where police caught up with him. Authorities in Washington County are waiting for him to be extradited back for prosecution.
In July, an accomplice was sentenced to two to five years in prison for his role in the theft.
